What we do in a nutshell
We work with companies to adopt environmental, social, and governance practices and technologies that create a competitive edge. We seek the broad adoption of these practices to transform markets and improve people's lives.
We work in agribusiness, manufacturing, services, infrastructure, oil, gas, mining, and other sectors. Our programs promote good corporate governance and strategic community investments; advance women in business, small scale farmers, and small firms; and engage the private sector in climate-change solutions.

This paper describes the newly consolidated organization to deliver IFC's Advisory Services in "Sustainable Business". It reports on results achieved during the first five-year funding cycle of the global funding mechanism — the Sustainability Business Innovator Facility, and it outlines IFC's approach going forward for engaging the private sector through advisory services in the creation of inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and efficient markets in developing countries. The proposal underpins IFC's new FY12-16 strategy for the Sustainable Business Advisory. Download the Board Paper [PDF]
