The Sakhalin project's goal was the "recovery, processing, and export of oil and gas" from oil fields on and around the Sakhalin Islands. The Handbook on Sustainability Reporting - a guide for listed companies in Vietnam, was produced by IFC in collaboration with the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC), the Vietnamese stock exchanges, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).The publication helps companies understand, manage and disclose their environmental and social performance, and take first steps towards meeting their sustainable development goals.
The publication includes a set of technical papers developed under the Low Carbon Technology Roadmap for Indian Cement Industry project, which is implemented with support from IFC. The content of the report falls under five categories : co-processing of alternative fuels and raw materials, improved thermal and electrical efficiency, clinker substitution, waste heat recovery and newer technologies such as nanotechnology.
