Japan: Our Donor Partner in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Ministry of Finance represents the Japanese Government in its relations with international financial institutions. It is actively engaged in strengthening Japan’s partnership with institutions such as IFC to maximize efforts to reduce poverty in developing countries. The Government of Japan is currently financing the Sustainable Energy Finance Program (SEF) in Chile, which aims to harness knowledge and promote business activities to generate interest in this sector, and to develop more favorable conditions for sustainable energy to flourish.
