The Chinese edition of the Effective Board: Manual for Board Members

The Chinese edition of the Effective Board: Manual for Board Members was co-developed by IFC China Corporate Governance Project and the Training Center of Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) to assist board members of Chinese companies in establishing an effective board and implementing good governance practices. 

The 75-page Manual provides an overview of the legislative and regulatory requirements and international best practices related to board members.  It also provides 18 mini cases and many useful tools. This Manual can also serve as a reference tool for educational institutions for training the next generation of board members, investors, and policymakers on sound corporate governance practices.
