Financial Operations Officers


The Department of Financial Operations (CFO) is responsible for the critical back office functions of the Corporation, and comprises two main product support areas, namely: the Loan and Equity Support Group and the Treasury Support Group. In addition, the department has a small investment accounting and compliance function. Since its establishment in 1998, CFO is gradually expanding in parallel with the increased transaction volumes. Responsibilities for this role include:

   
  • Recording, settlement, servicing, accounting, and control of all loan, equity, quasi-equity, and Treasury borrowings transactions
  • Providing product support services to the regional and industry investment departments and the Treasury department, and to IFC borrowers and participant banks
  • Providing operational support in the development of new business initiatives and products
  • Providing technical accounting advice to investment departments for new and existing investment structures
  • Reviewing and developing corporate business processes and systems supported by Financial Operations
