IFC's 15th Global Private Equity Conference Presented by IFC in Association with EMPEA
Once the gathering of a handful of industry pioneers, the Global Private Equity Conference (GPEC) has become the most comprehensive emerging markets private equity conference in the world, attended by over 875 delegates from more than 60 countries. This year’s conference centers around the theme “Emerging Markets Private Equity: Taking Center Stage.” The 15th annual event, to be held on May 14 and 15, 2013 in Washington, DC, is presented by IFC in association with EMPEA.
Led by a speaker faculty of more than 100 of the industry’s leading practitioners, GPEC still maintains the same objectives of its early days and has earned the reputation of the place where industry players from around the globe engage in thought-provoking discussions, debates, and analyses. Attendees include public and pension funds, private investors, and family offices, as well as leading fund managers around the world.
GPEC’s two-day main forum will be preceded by the Third Annual Institutional Investors-Only Summit on May 13, where institutional investors will convene for presentations and peer-to-peer exchanges on allocating to emerging markets private equity. The conference will close with a half-day seminar on May 16 titled “Back to Basics – Investing in Real Assets,” where experts will discuss whether real assets translate to real returns for investments in commodities, energy, infrastructure, and more.
IFC and EMPEA are grateful for the participation and thought leadership of its many speakers. Keynote speakers include the following:
